• Taking into account the physical and mental conditions of the patients, necessary and sufficient information is given about which procedure is performed, why and how it will be performed, and if they are to be kept waiting, the reasons for the waiting.

• All patients and their relatives can benefit from all kinds of services equally, regardless of language, religion, race and gender.

Right to Information and Communication

• Our patients, through themselves or their legal guardians, have the right to obtain information about the medical procedures that will be applied to them throughout the entire process of diagnosis and treatment, their benefits and possible drawbacks, alternative medical intervention methods, possible consequences that may arise if the treatment is not accepted, and the course of the treatment.

• Our patients have the right to look at their files at every stage of their diagnosis and treatment and to receive a copy of them in accordance with the approval of the Medical Directorate. Unless there is a medical necessity and the patient gives permission, information regarding his/her private and family life cannot be obtained, for whatever reason.

• Information about our patients’ illness is given without using medical terms as much as possible and in a polite and appropriate manner to the patient’s mental state. Information about the disease of a patient who does not understand the official language is given through a translator, if the patient can find it upon his own request and the fee is paid.

Right to Respect for Privacy and Private Life

• It is essential to respect the privacy of patients. The patient may explicitly request that his/her privacy be protected. Any medical intervention is carried out by respecting the patient’s privacy.

• Our patients have the right to request to be in an environment that will provide sufficient visual and auditory privacy during the consultation and examination with their physicians.

• During the examination of our patients, visual privacy is ensured by closing the curtains in the rooms.

• People who are not directly involved in the patient’s treatment are not allowed to be near the patient during medical intervention. However, in cases where there is no medical risk, the patient may be allowed to have a relative with him.

• There is no intervention in the patient’s private and family life unless it is necessary for the diagnosis, treatment and care of our patients and unless the patient gives permission.

• The patient’s health status, medical condition, diagnosis, treatment, identity information and all other personal information are kept confidential even after death.

• All information about the patient can only be disclosed with the express permission of the patient or the express request of the court. When there is a need for other healthcare personnel regarding the patient’s treatment, the patient’s consent is assumed.
