Biopsy Reasons for Tooth Extraction
Teeth too damaged to be filled or dentures
•Teeth with acute or chronic inflammation that cannot be treated with a root canal
•Teeth with periodontal (gum) disease, where the teeth have lost excessive bone support
•Teeth that do not respond to apical resection (surgical excision of the root apex of teeth with inflammation at the root apex)
•Roots that are stuck in the mouth and have no function
•Teeth that require extraction during orthodontic treatment (braces)
•Permanent primary teeth that do not fall out within the normal timeframe when permanent teeth are present
•Supernumerary (extra) teeth
•Teeth connected to the sinus that cause maxillary sinus infection
•Teeth that will cause focal infection (microorganisms from the infection focus, that is, the tooth, causing infection in other organs and tissues through the blood or lymphatic system)
